The Two Most Important People in Our Lives

Hellloo friends..here's a little something to share with you. The first one is a card done by my daughters..I love the free hand doodling of 'YOU' . Eventhough I was told not to cook or do housework on the recent Mother's Day...I just couldn't resist..getting up early and making scones...my kids favourite! A confession..been making them at least 3 times this week..hmm yum..yum..

Most of the time..my children are really good at giving me the"Please Mom..I Love You..Could You..." look . They got away recently asking me to make gifts for their teachers. This happened after school and the deadline is the next day! Each wanted at least 3 gifts...so a total of  9 ! Yikes !! So little time...

Solution...found a stack of note books sitting pretty in my IKEA cabinet. Funnily there were 9 of them! Just perfect..I took out my scrapbooking stash and the rest was history..

Woke up at 5.30 am just to finish the last 2 notebooks..Alhamdulillah ...the kids brought them to school the next day..teachers n kids were happy. Mission accomplished :)) So..the moral of the story is...Go tell your mom you love her as much as from here to Pluto and back !And also..please tell your teacher " Thank You"
Lastly always keep a stack of journals, frames handy as you never know you might need them asap to alter !

Keep Calm and Happy Crafting. Have a blessed week ahead :))

I Love Cookies !

Mornin..mornin.. Look what I have on my table..well at least for another hour or so, before the client collects her order!

Another insight of me..I love these sugar cookies and really enjoy baking them. Somehow the pouring of the sugar gives me a soothing and calming feeling. Hmmm..

A simple Guest List Board for the birthday bash..The theme is Rock Star..and the colours are pink and black.

Always my favourite...Donna Downey's Pan Pastels - Magenta .

Keep Calm and Craft On !!

3 Panel Wall Deco

I always have this project in mind. Felt so glad that I make some time to execute it. This project is meant for my mother whom I love so much and missed dearly because she lives 5 hours drive away from me..

The frames for the 3 panels are made from art metal foil that I embossed using my favourite Ten Seconds Studio embossing mould. I steer away from grunge look simply because it's not my mom's colours. I know that she will appreciate this bright shabby more.

Had fun distressing the metal with Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink..Loveeee the end result..

Currently this project is hung in Papier, The Curve. If you wish to learn the tricks of making this..do enroll in the workshop. I'll be happy to guide you step by step..Kindly contact Papier for class dates. Hurry..for limited time only as it's heading for its new owner soon :))

Take care everyone...XOX

Ooops...more sewing?

Gosh...its been awhile since I last rambled. Was smitten by loads of sewing ..pheww. The little makings are for my coming trip to Mecca. I'm taking special requests from MIL, daughters and in laws..and hubby. I have completed a pile of "mini sajdah" as gifts to everyone, left with bags and totes to sew and garments to alter. A quick question...is it true for adults that we "grow" shorter as we aged? ( In relation to the old robes that I have to shorten ? )

FYI The common phrase towards me lately is not I love you.....but, Liza../ Mom../ Honey..could you bla bla bla this for me, and owh please be done before our trip. I'm always happy to help and struggle to say NO. So all of these sewings are done with my love..:)) Praying that I'll complete everything in time, Ameen.
I let my pictures do the talking  ...GTG, guess what ..off to my sewing den / dungeon?? :))

Above - Mini sajdah..90% given and these are for me and my girls..

" Amy Butler's " bags for my girls..

Totes ala "Kath Kidston" in the making.. I'm excited about the zippered pockets..cant believe I managed to make them :))

Challenge and Updates

I know...its been a while...was just overwhelmed with mommy duties, designer duties and me duties..lol. Anyway I have been wanting to participate in the Challenges over at Lets Capture These Sketches forever..The sketches and takes by the designers there are just awesome and never fails to blow me away !

LCTS Sketch  # 118

And...here's my take !

For this take, I used papers from my Studio Calico Kit - Daydream Believer. I thought they "sing" with my photos. The funny photos were taken during the Chinese New Year Holidays. That's why I add the paper lanterns that I made.

Materials List
Papers - Sassafras for Studio Calico
Prima Marketing Vintage Trinkets
Dusty Attics ChipboardsThickers for Studio Calico

Owhh I had a great time teaching at Papier last Saturday. We had a ball sharing lotsa know hows and good laughs as well. Thank you to the 6 beautiful  crafters who came with happy hearts and left with BIG mojos..
( I hope.. lol )
Take care and have a good weekend XOXO  :))

Sneek Peek :))

At last...more hours to craft! Hope everyone is enjoying the long holiday. We Malaysians are so blessed with dont know how many  public holidays a year! Not complaining tho. I've been busy scouting for the right fabric for my next project. Happy to report after running around for 2 days.. I found them sitting pretty on the shelf of my favourite fabric  store todate. Cant wait to jumpstart my sewing machine lol.
Here's a sneek on a side project that I'm working on...

They are all in bits and pieces....
